In this second episode Nancy will talk about legumes. She will show you an enormous variety of these foods that can be found in a health food store such as this. Many will be surprised to discover just how many legumes one can cook compared to the traditional classic we all know such as beans and lentils.
You can get to know legumes from their various colors, taste and textures, giving one a vast opportunity to unleash creativity in the kitchen.
With legumes it is possible to make them into soups, salads, stews, falafels, hummus, pat ´s, burgers and many other creations. These dishes are very rich in protein, complex carbohydrates and fiber.
It is also possible to sprout some of the beans, such as chickpeas, lentils and alfalfa.
In the following episodes the theme will be about various flours, grains, fruits, vegetables, dried fruits, as well as tofu, plant-base milks, piadines (a type of tortillia) and crostini, etc.
